 Camp Ocean Pines / Camp Endless Summer
OCEAN PINES, MD

Camp Ocean Pines is held from 8 am –
5:30 pm, Monday – Friday, is open to youth ages 4-14. Both Camp Ocean Pines and Camp Endless Summer are licensed through the State of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. 

Camp Ocean Pines is offered in one week sessions from June 21st - August 13th. Campers will enjoy a week of sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming, special events and a field trip each week! The fee, which includes all events, transportation as well as before & after care is $130 for Ocean Pines Residents and $155 for non-residents.

Camp Endless Summer - The final week of camp – offers a special field trip each day, and is held from August 16th - August 20th. The fee for Camp Endless Summer is $150 for Ocean Pines Residents and $175 for non-residents. Space is limited in this session! Purchase of Care is accepted for all sessions!!! For more information or a registration packet, please call the Ocean Pines Recreation Department.

Coast Kids

Did you ever wonder what an eagles nest looks like? Or where to find turtles in the spring? Or why Delmarva is as flat as a pancake? Come and join the Coast Kids program to immerse kids in the natural wonders of the Delmarva peninsula through fun, educational monthly outings and informative, interactive material. Coast Kids is the environmental education program of the Assateague Coastal Trust. The program welcomes children age 4 to14 and their families. The new membership year ($25) begins in May 2010 and includes:- Free monthly weekend events such as canoeing on the Sinepuxent Bay, crabbing, and building bird
feeders. Parents or grandparents are welcome to participate. Members are welcome to bring non-members along to the events for a small fee ($3 to $5 per event)- Monthly fun-filled Coast Cards featuring local animals, plants, and places- Coast Kids T-shirt- Dip net to scoop creatures for a closer look The Coast Kid program is a member of the No-Child-Left-Inside Coalition, which has grown to over 1000 member organizations, representing 47.5 million people in the U.S.

enhance your daughter’s fitness, healthy eating, and self confidence? CrossFit Ocean City Girls Club Summer Camp (ages 7-13) is dedicated to the promotion of healthy bodies, attitudes, minds and hearts. Activities include physical training (CrossFit Kids), interactive healthy food discussions, self esteem, exploration of girl heroes in literature, guest speakers, and more.  Through fitness, girls gain an understanding of what it means to be strong. Twisters Summer Camp

Twisters Summer Camp is offered for children ages 3.5 to 15.  Each week campers participate in a large range of activities.  These activities include but are not limited to gymnastics, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities.  Each week is specially designed around a theme such as Twisters Survivor, Wild West, Twisters Olympics, etc.  Every week campers may take from 2 to 4 field trips to water parks, amusement parks, fairs, etc.  Our camp takes a trip to the beach every week and every Friday campers have a pizza party!  Twisters Summer Camp runs for 12 weeks, Monday-Friday from 7 am to 6 pm.  The cost is $95.00 and your spot can be saved with a small
deposit.  Most of our campers choose to come back to camp year after year so spots fill quickly.  Please call today to reserve your child’s spot!

Basic Fiber Art Camp - Sheep to scarf. Learn to spin, dye, weave for beginners. Spin on a drop spindle and spinning wheel Extract and dye silk from silkworm cocoons. Wet felt, needle felt in 2-D and sculpt in 3-D. Feed and care for sheep and angora bunnies while learning the history of fiber and experience transforming it into useful art. Knit, crochet, and play in the pool. Bring lunch and sunscreen. Ages 7 and up. Check blog for more dates and classes for teens, adults and parent-child classes.

Worcester County is gearing up for its 2010 summer recreational and sports camp season, which is expected to deliver excitement for school-age children entering grade 1 thru 8 this summer. For the second year Early Bird, Sunset, both half-day and full-day camp options will be offered. There are also a greater number of sports or recreation camps to participate in. In total, the Recreation & Parks Department
will offer 21 camps this summer that will take place at various sites across Worcester County.  The Department will offer traditional camps that teach fundamental skills in sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, tennis and volleyball. Participants will take part in daily drills, modified games, and full game situations by the end of the camp week.  The diversity of the camps includes golf, flag football, and track camps for children that cannot decide on just one sport, the Department is offering Sports Combo Camps and Recreation Sports Camps that will cover a wide range of traditional and non-traditional sports. The Department will also offer three sessions (2 weeks each) of swimming lessons for children ages 3 & up at the Pocomoke River State Park (Shad Landing Pool) in Snow Hill. The sessions will begin Tuesday, July 6 and run until Thursday, August 12, 2010.
