The nifty aspect of 4-H Summer Adventures is that kids learn about science, nutrition, nature, life and how to make things with their hands. They "learn by doing". The Wicomico County Board of Education is again offering enrichment courses on a variety of topics for students in grades 1 - 8 at Salisbury Middle School. BERLIN. The Worcester County Arts Council is now accepting applications for the annual Summer Arts Camp which will be held June 16 through June 20, 2008 at BerlinIntermediateSchool. This camp is designed for students entering 3rd through 7th grades in fall 2008 and last year over 150 children attended. The cost is $50.00 for the week long camp which is held from 9 am to 12 noon Monday to Thursday, and 9 am till 1 pm on Friday. Parents can register their children now through May 12 for the summer program to be held June 16 through Aug. 22 at the on-campus child development center at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury. Deaf Independent Living Association (DILA) is sponsoring their first overnight summer kids camp at the beautiful Camp Pecometh in Centreville, MD. Deaf, hard of hearing, or siblings of deaf and hard of hearing children ages 5 – 17 are welcome. Girl Scout Summer Roundup DENTON, MD. Summer Roundup is a resident camp program held at Girl Scouts Camp Todd. It is a safe and healthy way for girls to have fun, make new friends, and create lasting memories! Operation Purple® Camp MD CHESTERTOWN, MD. Operation Purple will be held this year August 17- 21 at Camp Fairlee near Chestertown, Maryland. This camp is FREE to the children 9-13 of military personnel who are deployed. Activities will focus on the experience of military children whose parents are deployed.
