HUMANE SOCIETY OF WICOMICO COUNTY For over 30 years, the Humane Society of Wicomico County has provided temporary shelter for the County's homeless and unwanted animals. Our services aren't just for dogs and cats...we've also helped horses, goats, rabbits and chickens. ART LEAGUE OF OCEAN CITY  The Art League of Ocean City is a non-profit organization dedicated to the enrichment of life through the arts. In existence since the 1960's, it is located at 502 94th St. Activities are available for every age and all skill levels: from children's exhibits to professional workshops and shows. POSTPARTUM SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL (PSI)  Postpartum Support International (PSI) is an organization dedicated to raising awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. Approximately 15% of all women will experience postpartum depression following the birth of a child. Up to 10% will experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy. When the mental health of the mother is compromised, it affects the entire family. PSI Coordinators offer caring, informed support and resources to moms and their families. THE PARENTS' PLACE OF MARYLAND is a non-profit family-centered organization. THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF THE EASTERN SHORE seeks high school students from the Lower Eastern Shore for its Youth Foundation Advisory Committee. Students conduct fundraisers for the Youth Foundation Endowment, now over $60,000, and award grants each spring to benefit youth programs serving Somerset, Wicomico or Worcester Counties.  Monthly meetings give students an opportunity to learn more about the Community Foundation, philanthropy and programs benefiting kids on the Lower Eastern Shore.  Please visit www.cfes.org/programs.php

WICOMICO CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER 24 hour response to reports of child maltreatment. Forensic interviews of victims that reduce the overall number of interviews needed. Comprehensive assessment and investigation of child neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, and mental abuse reports. Immediate referrals to counseling for victims and non-offending family members to aid the healing process. Case management and referrals to community resources to help families receive needed services. Prosecution of offenders when warranted by the evidence.
